Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) stands firm on its mission to offer world-class and contextually relevant academic course curriculum to its participants. This has been reflected in the FT Rankings announced on September 13, 2021 and the QS Rankings declared on September 11, 2021. IIM Indore has been listed in the Top 100 in the FT Rankings for its flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) under the Masters in Management Category, with 4th rank in India and 3rd rank amongst all the IIMs. IIM Indore has also bagged the 25th rank amongst all the top business schools in Asia under the QS Global MBA Rankings, with 4th position amongst the IIMs and 5th amongst the top business schools in India. The Institute has been ranked in the 151-200 band in the QS Ranking.
Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore noted that the Institute will be completing its 25 years in October 2021. Sharing his delight over the rankings he said, ‘We have been ranked in the Top 100 FT Rankings for our Post Graduate Programme in Management; and are the third amongst IIMs and the fourth business school in the nation to be listed among the top-100. We now aim to be in the Top 50 and will ensure working harder for the same’. He mentioned that as the Institute approaches its 25th Foundation Day, it has been ranked 25th in Asia in QS World Rankings for our global MBA (amongst top 200 in the world, 5th in India, 4th amongst IIMs). He congratulated all the stakeholders of the Institute for their continued support. We look forward to moving ahead in line with our mission with determination and grit, he added.
The FT Ranking parameters were broadly divided into Alumni Career Progress, School Diversity and International Experience & Research, which were further categorized into 21 criteria. These included number of participants enrolled, company internships, average course length, etc.
The QS Ranking methodological framework included six simple metrics namely, academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. The ranking indicators included thought leadership, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, employability and diversity. IIM Indore stands at 3rd position for the return on investment indicator in the nation.
Recently, IIM Indore has also secured 6th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF Ranking 2021) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This position is one step higher than previous year.
