The first batch of the Executive Programme in Digital Transformation – EPDT concluded at IIM Indore on March 02, 2022. A total of 49 participants received the Certificate of Completion on this occasion. The valedictory took place in the presence of Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore; Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair – Executive Education; and Prof. Saurabh Rai and Prof. Sanjog Ray, Programme Coordinators. Dr. Nagendra Chowdary, Head Academic Relation and Leader Success, Times TSW, also joined the event in virtual mode.
Prof. Rai, in his address, spoke about the significance of ‘transforming’ ourselves. He encouraged the participants to focus on bringing about a change in their lives to attain their goals. ‘After completing the course on digital transformation, it is now important to focus on transforming yourself. Find your goal and work hard to achieve it. People would always try to demotivate and discourage you. Listen to them, but do what you want to do anyway’, he said. If you want to give something to this society, you need to earn that ‘something’ first. ‘Take good care of yourself; only then would you be able to take care of others. He explained that you could help others only when you could lend a hand.
Further, he suggested the participants draw their identity from their passion. ‘Don’t rely on superficial identities like a job or a designation, for when you lose your job, you will lose your identity too. Instead, choose a career you are passionate about’, he concluded.
Prof. Subin Sudhir shared with the participants how digital transformation plays a vital role in the industry. He encouraged the participants to keep updating their knowledge and implementing the theoretical knowledge of the classroom in their organization.
Prof. Saurabh Rai, Prof. Sanjog Ray, and Dr. Nagendra Chowdary also congratulated the participants on completing the programme.
