In the rapidly evolving business landscape, professionals need to constantly learn, enhance and sharpen their management skills to add value and deliver effective business solutions quickly to their organization. IIM Indore aims to remain contextually relevant and offers a world-class programme that develops skilled managers. In line with this objective, IIM Indore launched the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Business Management. The program’s inauguration was on March 08, 2022, in online mode. Prof. Srinivas Gunta and Prof. Sanjay C. Choudhari, Programme Coordinators, were present. A total of 43 participants registered for the programme.
Prof. Gunta welcomed the new batch and shared his views about the program’s genesis. He noted that management plays a significant role in everything we do at a personal and professional level. Thus, everyone needs to have the basic management knowledge to implement in their day-to-day life. ‘We have ensured that the curriculum helps the participants understand management principles and various functions in the business. The robustly designed programme would also explore advanced and contemporary themes of the 21st century, including Digital Transformation and Design Thinking’, he said. The programme would equip the participants to secure higher roles in management by enhancing their managerial skills and leadership capabilities, he said.
Prof. Sanjay C. Choudhari also welcomed the batch and noted that the programme would include core topics like primary business environment and economics, statistics and introductory data analytics, ethics of business, STP and marketing mix, consumer behavior, B2B and B2C marketing, social media, and influencer marketing, human resource management, negotiation, industry relations, entrepreneurship, etc. ‘Subjects like innovation and design thinking, VUCA, blue ocean, AI, ML, and blockchain would further sharpen your knowledge and keep you updated with the industry trends, he said.
The 12-month programme is a blend of case studies, online lectures, projects, peer-to-peer learning, self-learning, and simulations.
