In the post-pandemic world, leadership roles are getting redefined. The workforce for many companies got diversified in terms of location and responsibilities. The first difficult task of a leader is to manage such an expansive workforce- getting quality work from them and keeping them motivated. In this regard, the concept of leadership pipeline takes centre stage, as it allows organizations to grow leaders internally at every level. This provides guidelines for competency assessment and designing appropriate training requirements. Internal leadership development can be a huge source of motivation for current and prospective employers. Another aspect is the development of Human Capital in the country. With the rise in Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 in the workplace, the current skillsets won’t be enough to match the growing competitiveness in the industry. In such a scenario, developing human capital in terms of job skills and creating leaders to guide the workforce becomes important.
