Under the Financial Literacy Program launched by IIM Indore’s Integrated Programme in Management’s social fest Utkarsha, a session was conducted for all the employees of Rani Press Pvt Ltd on November 19, 2015. The session aimed at making people aware of the various beneficiary schemes launched by the Government of India.
Conducted by a team of five students, the session included information about various schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
The students also explained the Laadli Laxmi Yojana launched by Madhya Pradesh Government. The students made sure that the people understand what financial literacy and financial independence are and how are they important for an individual.
The employees were also informed about the various channels through which they could achieve financial literacy through various schemes. The employees exhibited a lot of enthusiasm and zeal towards the various schemes and posed a lot of queries which were answered by the students. The management seemed equally excited and happy to see their employees displaying such interest. The session concluded with refreshments being distributed by the students to the employees.
Another session to give them more insights into financial independence is planned to happen soon.
