Adding another laurel to the IIM Indore’s student achievements; Sudhir Vijayakumar Madhugiri (FPM—Industry Batch 2015) won the First prize in the General Management and HR Track at Avartan 2016—a fest conducted by the National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai (NITIE). NITIE, established in 1963 provides a global platform for practicing managers to present their innovative and path-breaking projects through Avartan.
During the event, the participants were supposed to present their projects which were judged by an elite jury panel consisting of stalwarts from industry and academia. Sudhir’s project pertained to how change management was affected in a large software services delivery programme in context of a multi-year contract renewal. The renewal ushered in a stricter SLA regime with a reduced headcount leading to challenges of sorts for the organization to cope with. It is about how the organization managed to succeed in achieving the set objectives in a 12 months’ time frame using lean and other optimization techniques leveraging a strong change management process. His project received the First Prize.
The award recognizes best practices implemented in an industry context, benefits garnered by the organization, generalizability to the industry and overall impact to industry and academia.
IIM-Indore congratulates Sudhir on this achievement.
