IIM Indore was the knowledge partner for this year’s Porter Prize event held at Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai on the 30th May 2018. The contributors for this event from IIM Indore were Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore; Professor Ganesh K.Nidugala; Professor Ajit Phadnis; Professor Siddartha Rastogi and Professor Srinivas Gunta (faculty members of the Institute).
The faculty members also took part in various panel discussions held during the event on topics like Innovation: The Age of Disruption; Competitiveness: Triumph of Regions; Talent: Rise of Creative Class; and Fireside Chat on the topic What Drives Competitiveness. The event also witnessed a keynote address by Professor Michael Porter, Harvard Business School on the topic Augmented Reality and Strategy.
Porter Prize is named after Michael E. Porter, an economist, researcher, author, advisor, speaker and teacher. Throughout his career at Harvard Business School, he has brought economic theory and strategy concepts to bear on many of the most challenging problems facing corporations, economies and societies, including market competition and company strategy, economic development, the environment and health care. His research has received numerous awards, and he is the most cited scholar today in economics and business.
