Two IIM Indore cases have been ranked among the top 10 submissions for the ISB-Ivey Global Case Competition 2015, and have been selected for Honourable Mention and Publication as co-branded ISB-Ivey Cases. This includes one Business Case written by FPM Participant Bishakha Majumdar and PGP alumnus Rudranil Chakrabortty on the topic Building the Ark: Redesigning Workforce Composition at Powertech India. The second case by Professor Patturaja Selvaraj and Mr. Mitesh Gangar of Ernst &Young is about Scaling an Indian Startup: The Chronicles of Deltecs InfoTech.
The competition is organized by the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Case Development (CTLC) at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and Ivey Business School, Western University. The award ceremony will be hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), as part of their 5th University-Industry Congress: Global Higher Education Summit 2015 in New Delhi, during December 1 – 2, 2015.
The two cases competed with 86 entries from more than 50 B-schools in India, the United States, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates and bagged a position in top ten. The cases spanned a wide spectrum of management areas, from more traditional subjects such as Strategy, Marketing, Finance and Leadership, to growing areas of interest such as, Social Enterprise and Business Ethics.
Launched in 2010, the ISB-Ivey Global Case Competition has rapidly gained prominence in India and abroad and is widely considered an important source for India-centric cases by B-Schools around the globe. The top cases from this competition are marketed to a global audience of business schools through Ivey and distributed through Ivey Publishing, the largest publisher of India based business cases in the world.
