Economi-i: Economics & Public Policy SIG
Econom-i is the Economics and Public Policy Interest Group of IPM, IIM Indore. Through daily sharing of articles and pop quizzes, it aims to stimulate a conducive atmosphere for active online participation. Further, discussion meets are organised on a regular basis to facilitate informative conversations on contemporary macroeconomic developments. There is a special emphasis on enthusing the complexities of the global economy with the theoretical concepts introduced to us in the IPM curriculum, in these sessions.The domain of Public Policy is explored through LinkedIn posts centred around geopolitical events and a flagship White Paper competition. Additionally, the SIG aims to invite eminent personalities for Guest Lectures on economic issues relevant to the IPM community. It has had the privilege to host sessions with eminent personalities like Mr. Arun Maira, Dr. Viral V. Acharya Mr. Sebastian Mallaby. Such sessions enhance the reputation of the SIG and the institute while facilitating interaction of IPMers with the who’s who of policy and economics in the global landscape.
