i-Help

i-Help, a student-run initiative, is an organization of dedicated, like-minded, and hardworking individuals who believe that education is the greatest weapon against all evils of society. It’s with this spirit that they associate with various schools, NGOs and CSRs to assist them with resourceful manpower to educate, motivate, and inculcate the desire to study among those who have been unfortunate enough not to reap the benefits of quality education. Their primary cause is the education of underprivileged children since we believe that education is the key to the overall development of an individual. The initiative places a strong emphasis on preparing students for crucial academic opportunities such as the National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) and the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). Since its inception, i-HELP has played a crucial role in educating and guiding students to secure these prestigious scholarships, which open doors to further educational prospects. For instance, over the past six years, i-HELP’s dedicated efforts in NMMS preparation have culminated in 22 students securing scholarships worth over 10.56 lakh rupees. Students under i-Help are assigned two to three volunteers, ensuring personalized attention and a better learning experience. This volunteer-student partnership is crucial, as it not only aids in academic preparation but also builds lasting bonds and a supportive community.

The i-HELP initiative is more than just an academic aid; it is a beacon of hope and a driver of social change. By engaging with students, guardians, and schools, i-HELP reinforces the vision that education is a potent instrument for societal transformation. Furthermore, the team incorporates innovative learning pedagogies and leverages smart technology to enhance educational outcomes. This progressive approach improves the learning process and ensures that students are technologically adept, preparing them for a future in a digital world. Further, i- Help believes that child development is a comprehensive process comprising elements apart from education as well. Hence, every year they make concerted efforts to engage our students in multiple ways in co-curricular activities and life skills building sessions to double down on this approach. Organising sports days, cultural days, music workshops, financial literacy programs are just some examples. Through this, they ensure that the students not only thrive academically but also garner valuable skills that help them grow.

Through its commitment and innovative approach, i-HELP at IIM Indore helps build a community where education is the cornerstone of community growth. As the initiative continues to grow and evolve, its impact extends beyond the classrooms, inspiring the new generation to pursue knowledge, regardless of their background. It empowers students to become the best versions of themselves and exceed the boundaries of the classroom to achieve success. This is the essence of i-HELP—educate, enable, and empower the youth and build a better tomorrow.
