Call for Nominations – Alumni Awards 2024

Round 1:

The first round of verification/shortlisting would be undertaken by the (i) Prof. Prabin Kumar Panigrahi, Chair, Alumni, (ii) Mr. Siddharth Sethi, Director, IIMI Alumni Association and (iii) Mr. Jigar Kantharia, Officer, Alumni Office. The activity would be supported by the members of the Global Executive Council of Alumni. The Committee will communicate with the nominated individuals for details on various parameters and also collect other information from public sources. The verified profiles would be passed on to the Awards jury for final selection in Round 2.

Round 2:

The second round of the selection process would be conducted by the Award Jury consisting of the director, alumni chair, representative(s) from the Global Executive Council of Alumni, representative(s) from the industry, senior professor(s). The jury will give one award in each category, subject to the evaluation process.

If a candidate is deemed eligible through Round 1, the merit of his or her nomination would be evaluated with respect to the following illustrative criteria based on the documents submitted during the application process.

• Position (Board of director, MD, Executives, VP, AVP, Head of department, etc.)
• Experience (Number of companies, continents and sectors he/she has worked in)
• Team Size (Number of people working under him/her)
• Reputation of Organization
• Achievements in individual function/area/industry/relevant award categories
• Achievements of the business unit
• Notable initiatives launched under her/his leadership
• Other criteria as deemed appropriate by the Award Jury

IIM Indore Alumni Awards 2024

The Award Categories and Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

(I).Distinguished Alumni Award

The 4^th edition of the Distinguished Alumni Award will recognise the longevity and consistency of achievements of the highest calibre over their professional life. Through this award, we wish to acknowledge their significant contributions to industries, companies, and communities which brought honour to IIM Indore by upholding the highest values and traditions of the school. The eligibility criteria: (a) The candidate should have at least 10 years of work-ex post MBA (PGDM),  (b) Can demonstrate the impact of their achievements over a number of years, (c)Have received formal recognition from their peers and/or community, (d) Are an exemplary role model, inspiring leader, or champion for equality, (e) Are paving the way for, mentoring and supporting the next generation, (f), Have transformed their field, challenged boundaries, or developed innovative solutions, (g) Can demonstrate the scale and tangible impact of their work in terms of revenue/ profit/ client acquisition/ generating employment etc. (h) Are influencing change or making a positive impact on society through their professional, voluntary, or charitable activities.

(ii).Young Alumni Achiever Award 

This esteemed award recognizes an alumna/alumnus who has showcased remarkable leadership potential in their chosen field. To qualify for this award, the nominee must have graduated with an MBA or Equivalent Degree within the last 10 years. The award will be given to individuals aged 40 years or younger or those who are in the early stages of their careers. The recipient must exhibit a proven track record of impactful contributions and a clear trajectory towards becoming a significant leader in their profession.

(iii). Distinguished Contribution to the Alma Mater & Alumni

This prestigious award acknowledges an alumnus who has made substantial contributions to the IIMI Alumni community. To be eligible, nominees must exhibit active engagement in campus activities, such as serving on advisory boards, mentoring current students and alumni, assisting project and placements, volunteering at campus/chapter events, contributing to teaching initiatives and granting substantial endowment to the Company (i.e. IIMI Alumni Association).  The recipient must have a proven record of enhancing the IIM Indore experience for the entire alumni network. The alumni with at least 5 years of experience after graduation from the Institute are eligible for the award.

(iv). Exemplary Public Service Award

The Exemplary Public Service Award applauds alumni who have integrated public service into their professional journey. This award celebrates their impactful work that brings honour to the Institute. Nominees must demonstrate a significant and sustained commitment to initiatives that promote the well-being and advancement of society at large. The alumni with at least 10 years of experience after graduation from the Institute are eligible for the award.

(v). Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to the advancement of businesses or enterprises. This accolade acknowledges their dedication to transforming visionary ideas into successful realities. Nominees must possess the courage to embrace risks, adapt to changes, and seize emerging opportunities. His/her venture should be in existence for 10 years and should have per annum turnover of minimum 25 crores. The alumni with at least 10 years of experience after graduation from the Institute are eligible for the award.

(vi). Global Impact Award

The Global Impact Award celebrates an alumna/alumnus who has achieved exceptional accomplishments on a global scale. Nominees may be based internationally or locally, provided their work has had a discernible international impact that contributes to the betterment of communities or individuals worldwide. The recipient should demonstrate a deep commitment to addressing global challenges and creating positive change across borders. The alumni with at least 10 years of experience after graduation from the Institute are eligible for the award.
