The annual HR & Leadership Conclave of One Year Full Time Residential Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) organized at IIM Indore on November 09, 2019 in collaboration with Industry Interface Office. The two days event this year was focused on the theme—‘India’s Roadmap to USD 5 Trillion Economy’. The conclave hosted business leaders across the corporate world to expressed their views and share experiences. This event witnessed a keynote address, three panel discussions, case study competition, leadership talks, quizzes, EPGP iKON Guest Lectures and a tree plantation drive as well. The event had a case study competition, Inventum, in which more than 300 participants from across the nation had participated. The first day of the event began with the inauguration in the presence of Mr. Vinayak Marathe, SVP, Reliance Industries Limited—the keynote speaker for the event; Professor D.L Sunder, Professor Manoj Motiani, Professor Dipayan Dutta Chowdhury & Professor Prashant Salwan, Faculty Members, IIM Indore. Professor Chowdhury welcomed the guests and the participants.
2019 IIM Indore NASMEI Summer Marketing IS Conference
IIM Indore & NASMEI (North American Society for Marketing Education in India) 2019 Summer Marketing & Information Systems Conference organised at IIM Indore on July 26-28, 2019. The three-day event kicked-off with three pre-conference workshops as follows:
‘Teaching with Cases’ by Prof. Philip Charles Zerrillo, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore. ‘Conducting Meaningful Research’ by Prof. Satish Nargundkar,J Mack Robinson College of Business Georgia State University. ‘Latent Variable Modelling’ by Prof. Arunachalam S, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
The conference had over 300 papers, was presented from the shortlisted participants among the 550 candidates, who applied for the conference. The paper presentation tracks include themes like App Based Marketing, Business to Business Marketing, Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, Corporate Image, Digital Marketing, Games and Marketing, Financial Marketing, Organizational Behavior & Human Resources, Marketing Education, Artificial Intelligence, Purchase Intention, Social Media, Smart Products, Technology & Marketing, Advertisement, Analytics, Ethics in Marketing, etc.
The second day of the conference witnessed formal inaugural ceremony in the presence of Prof. Sanjay Jain, Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas, Texas, USA; Prof. Manju Ahuja, College of Business, University of Louisville; Prof. Philip Charles Zerrillo, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore; Prof. Giri Kumar Tayi, University at Albany State University of New York; and Prof. Bharat Bhaskar, Director, IIM Raipur. This was followed by a book launch ceremony, wherein a book by Ms. Varsha Jain & her co-authors Mr. Jagdish Sheth and Donald Schultz was released. The book is titled—‘Consumer Behavior- Digital Natives’. This was followed by another book launch by Professor Rajendra Nargundkar, Faculty- Marketing, IIM Indore. The book is titled—‘Marketing Research’.
Seminar on Capital Markets
IIM Indore Industry Interface Office conducted a seminar on ‘Capital Markets’ on February 14, 2020, in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange. Mr. Santosh Kumar Shukla, CGM, SEBI was the Chief Guest for the event. The event commenced with lamp lighting by Mr. Shukla; Mr. Bharat Dave, Senior Manager, Bombay Stock Exchange and Professor Abhishek Mishra, Chair, Industry Interface Office and Faculty, IIM Indore. The session by Shri Santosh Kumar Shukla, was based on “Role of Regulator (i.e. SEBI) in Capital Market” ?Mr. Shukla spoke on the importance of capital market and why regulators are important. Mr. Bharat Dave, Senior Manager, Bombay Stock Exchange also then addressed the gathering. He shared a presentation on ‘Empowering Investors through BSE Investors Awareness Programme’. Sharing why investment is important. The session concluded with a Q&A round by the students from various management institutions from Indore and nearby cities. The guests appreciated the efforts put in by the Industry Interface Office, IIM Indore for smoothly conducting the event and ensured collaborating for such future sessions too.
