Overview
In keeping with IIM Indore’s legacy of being at the forefront of educational innovation, we are delighted to introduce the “Writing and Communication Studio (WCS)”: a brand-new space that will cater to the rhetorical and communication necessities of the IIM Indore Community.
Writing and communication studios, and its variants, have been vibrant spaces in top-ranked global universities since the early 20th century. In recent years, academic institutions in India have recognized the exigency for these sites, and IIM Indore is delighted to be one of the Indian pioneers in this regard.
Of course, none of this would have been possible but for the unflinching support and guidance of the Director, Prof. Himanshu Rai; the Chief Administrative Officer, Colonel Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi; and the Communication Area.
The WCS is excited to be a vital cog in enabling IIM Indore’s journey of excellence.
About US/What we do
The WCS provides expert individualized guidance and feedback:
- on public speaking projects (such as individual presentations, speeches, and group speaking assignments).
- on writing-based communication (academic papers, reports, personal statements, and research-based essays).
- and organizes lectures and workshops on communication related issues and topics.
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the WCS has temporarily moved its in-person consultation sessions to online-consultation sessions from March 25, 2020.
We, at the WCS, are elated at the community’s support and we look forward to facilitating many more conversations on effective writing and communication.
