Amit is working in Operations Management and Quantitative Methods area at IIM Indore. He specializes in large scale optimization and supply chain management. He has worked for seven years in the industry and has rich experience in logistics, information technology, and oil & gas sectors.
Amit has done FPM from IIM Ahmedabad with a specialization in production & quantitative methods. In his doctoral work, he determined the best sequence of opening facilities under server uncertainty and was awarded the IFCI best thesis award at IIM Ahmedabad. He also has a PGDM from IIM Lucknow and a B.Tech in chemical engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
Post-FPM, Amit worked as a functional architect at JDA software (a leading supply chain solutions company) for three years. He designed solutions for complex business problems in transportation and travel & tourism. Two of the solutions developed by him received the “pillar” award at JDA for their innovative capabilities.
