Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder Chairman and Dr. Anupam Sibal, Group Medical Director, Apollo Hospitals, visited IIM Indore and interacted with the students on October 8, 2014.
Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, in his inspiring and thought provoking address to the IIM Indore community spoke about the future of health care industry and emphasized the need for IT expertise in order to make healthcare more competitive. To create a self-sustainable model in the country, Dr. Reddy emphasized on the need of payment based health insurance. To provide quality medical care across the nation, there is a need to double the medical staff and triple the number of doctors, he added.

Dr.Prathap C Reddy, the visionary Founder Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, is widely credited as being the architect of modern Indian healthcare. He founded Apollo Hospitals in 1983.
Dr. Reddy has also been the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Health Council. He has been conferred with the ‘Padma Vibhushan’ the second highest civilian award from the Government of India as an acknowledgement of his untiring pursuit for excellence in healthcare.
