EPGP Batch 2023-24 Concludes it’s International Immersion

Thirty-eight EPGP participants Visited SDA Bocconi for their international immersion term

A principal component of the learning experience designed for IIM Indore’s one-year full-time Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), is the International Immersion Programme at the world-renowned SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, Italy. The participants of IIM Indore EPGP Batch spend an entire month in Milan, Italy, learning from the best minds in Europe and the world in varied sectors of management studies. This year, a total of 38 participants from the EPGP Batch 2023-24 visited SDA Bocconi from September 11 – October 06, 2023, for the Advanced Leadership Programme.

This programme exposed the cohort to a plethora of immersive and relevant topics. With a specially designed course that focuses on the European way of doing business, the participants got deep insights into the subjects of Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management, the essence of Italian Excellence, Global Sports Management, Business scenarios in the EU throughout the Globalization Era, Impact Investing in the purview of Business and Government Collaborations, etc. Through these sessions, the participants had the opportunity to interact with many renowned professors of SDA Bocconi, viz., Professor Veronica Vecchi, Executive Education Director, SDA Bocconi Asia Center; Professor Davide Reina, Professor Dino Ruta, Professor Gianluca Salviotti, and more, who shared brilliant insights on their subject of expertise.

The highlight of the programme was the emphasis on sustainability, which included immersive sessions on Designing and Implementing a Sustainable Supply Chain and Exploring the Viability of the United Nations’ SDG’s to develop a shared value chain.

A Design Thinking Workshop organised by Professor Mikkel Draebye, was an enriching experience that challenged the problem solving capabilities of the participants.

The batch also had the opportunity to visit the Dallara Academy, located in the famous Motor Valley of Italy, to learn about the famed Italian racing car industry and its inner workings. Visits to the Milan Innovation District (MIND), developed by Lendlease, and the under-construction Milan Winter Olympics 2026 Games Village, maintained by Coima SGR, were other significant pit stops in this journey of learning. Over and above these, there were in-class interactions with Business executives from famous Italian firms like Damiani and Bianchi.

The participants had an enriching time in SDA Bocconi, and the programme concluded with an interactive session with Professor Veronica Vechi, Director of Executive Education of SDA Bocconi Asia Center.

SDA Bocconi, like IIM Indore, is a triple crown accredited (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA) business school whose MBA programme was ranked 6th in the world by The Financial Times in 2023.
