The first batch of IIM Indore’s Executive Programme in Strategic Sales Management concluded on May 20, 2022. The valedictory function took place in the presence of Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore. Prof. Manoj Motiani, Programme Coordinator, EPSSM; Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair – Executive Education, IIM Indore; and Mr. Balaji V.K., Programme Director – EPSSM, and Vice President B2C Sales, Jigsaw Academy were also present on occasion.
?Prof. Himanshu Rai congratulated the graduating batch and mentioned that this graduation ceremony is a “Moment of Crowning Glory” for them. Explaining further, he shared his views on how this programme would add a “CROWN” to their life, imbibing Conscientiousness, Reflection, Openness, Wisdom, and the ability to Network efficiently. He advised the participants to enhance their time management, maintain discipline, and remain conscientious even after graduation. This would help them become successful both personally and professionally. noted that this is a moment of crowning glory. “Take a pause and reflect on what kind of change this programme has brought in your life. Identify your purpose and redefine success. Find out how you can contribute and positively impact this world”, he said.
He advised the participants to remain open to learning and gaining knowledge. “Approach people with an open heart and mind, and you’ll be able to expand your horizon and change your perspective towards this world,” he said. Emphasizing the significance of practising wisdom and networking, he suggested the participants approach all the situations in their life with humility, as it will make them successful, worthy, and receptive to learning. “Be wise, stay humble, and network with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and education. That’s how you understand that there’s much more to learn”, he said.
Prof. Motiani and Prof. Subin also congratulated the first batch. They noted that it was a wonderful experience teaching a batch full of vast experience and coming from diverse backgrounds. They advised the batch to implement and impart the knowledge they’ve gained from the programme and keep learning further. Invest in yourself, find solutions to the problems even if you aren’t impacted, and make sure you can create a positive impact on people about whom you are concerned.
Mr. Balaji appreciated and thanked the IIMI faculty members for designing a robust programme that is contextually relevant. He noted that the programme would prove to be immensely fruitful for the batch, and they would be able to contribute significantly to their organizations. “Continue to learn more and add value to your profile and your organizations,” he said.
A total of 27 participants working in managerial positions in different organizations across the nation received their Certificate of Completion on occasion. They are from various cities, including Delhi, Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kalyan, Aurangabad, Lucknow, Bangalore, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Amravati, Kashipur, etc.
