Central India’s largest entrepreneurship summit, the i5 Summit 2022, was held at IIM Indore on August 19-21, 2022. The entrepreneurial mega-event draws seasoned investors, company
executives, innovative start-up owners, and students from across the country. Themed “Blueprint of the Modern Entrepreneur”, this event marked the Summit’s return to offline events after a gap
of two years. This year, a total of 1200 participants attended the event. 10+ start-ups pitched their ideas to angel investors during this event.
Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, shared a video message during the inauguration of the three-day event. Sharing his experience from his recent Summit at Mount Kilimanjaro, he advised the budding entrepreneurs to keep moving forward irrespective of the circumstances. ‘When you set a goal, you may tumble, fall, have to pause for a while, and even feel discouraged and tired. However, he said that resilience and grit would help you achieve your goal and make you a success.
Col. Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi (Retd.), CAO, IIM Indore, appreciated the enthusiasm of the organizing students and the participants. He noted that the number of start-ups in India had increased tremendously in the last two decades. ‘This increase in start-ups reflects the courage, innovative thinking, and perseverance our young India carries within itself. We are today standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the international giants, which indicates that India is one of the leading nations in start-ups, he said.
