Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, congratulated the winning team on its achievement. ‘I congratulate our winning team for emerging as the national winners in the PwC Whitepaper Competition. I am delighted to see that the contextually relevant, robustly designed curriculum of IPM and PGP enables our participants to augment their managerial skills. IIM Indore aims to encourage, motivate and mentor its participants in every initiative they take and is determined to support them in achieving their goals. Excited about their achievement, Aveek and Ishan noted that the competition focused on preparing a whitepaper on a contemporary topic in the Global Business Services (GBS) domain. The topic of the project was “Process Mining as a Managed Service in GBS.” ‘We are happy to be the National Winners of the PwC Whitepaper Competition. ‘The learnings of the classroom sessions at IIM Indore helped us ace the competition. We brought perspectives from different management fields – finance, strategy, marketing, operations, and IT. They said that the frameworks and critical thinking taught in class helped us streamline our thought process. PwC allotted seasoned professionals to every team participating in the competition. IIM Indore team worked under the guidance of Rinku Vatnani, Gowtham Bandi, and Diksha Bahl. We also had frequent virtual meetings with Mr. Manish Mahajan (Director, PwC Strategy&, Middle East). ‘We were given adequate directions from our mentors to prepare a business case for Process Mining as a Managed Service and took an inside-out perspective while preparing the whitepaper targeted to the PwC clients,’ they said.

Aveek and Ishan, as a team, have made it to different national finals and global finals of reputed competitions. ‘The coordination between us gave us a head start in every competition phase. Apart from this, the fact that this topic is pretty new inspired us to think out of the box and come up with a comprehensive whitepaper’, they added.

The team has received a prize of Rs. 50,000 along with PwC merchandise. IIM Indore congratulates them for their accomplishment and wishes them all the best in their future endeavors.
