The programme is committed to developing professionals who are immersed in cutting edge analytics, psychometric instruments, assessment centres and behavioural labs, and have the potential to create value for businesses. PGP-HRM is conceptualised as a collaborative enterprise between the institute and industry to ensure that the academic program is in alignment with state of the art practices in industry. The Industry Advisory Board of the programme brings together leaders from the industry whose inputs will provide strategy, energy and direction to the programme.
The Industry Advisory Board meets regularly in Indore or Mumbai. The guidance of members is a crucial leadership input in designing, updating and implementing the curriculum. The advice of members deepens the partnerships of IIM Indore with industry to carry out a range of collaborative knowledge projects. The Industry Advisory Board also acts as a strategic think-tank which contemplates on the future forms of organisations and trends in business contexts. A range of tools emerging from analytics, psychometric instruments, behavioural labs and other areas will be reviewed and their opportunities will be assessed. The dialogue constituted through the Industry Advisory Board will keep updating the themes that are crucial for fostering industry-academia dialogue.
The board is a forum for forging a common public space where exemplary leadership can be situated in conversation with academic imagination. A synergistic conversation between theory and practice will greatly help in fostering a mind-set of action influenced by innovative developments in theory and methodology. These conversations can create frames of pragmatic action that can help in nurturing a new wave of professionals who can benefit from the thoughts of inspirational leaders. The programme aims at emerging as a vibrant space which is constantly open to emerging innovations and becomes a global leader in conceptualising and implementing education in the people management domain.
