On February 2, 2025, IIM Indore’s i-Help brought together 120 students from the government schools adopted by the Institute, for a vibrant Cultural Day. The event was held as a part of VIVITSA, the sustainability challenge being conducted under IIM Indore’s Centre of Excellence ANVESHAN.
The event featured a delightful mix of cultural performances, interactive sessions, and awareness activities, all designed to encourage environmental consciousness and social responsibility, in line with the event’s overarching theme of sustainability. The event was graced by IIM Indore’s COA, Col. Dr. Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi (Veteran), who set the stage with an inspiring address on the role of youth in driving sustainable change. Prof. Akhaya Nayak also engaged in a light-hearted interaction with the children.
The cultural segment added energy to the event, with Impulse (the IPM Dance SIG) delivering powerful dance performances and Amplif-I (the IPM Music SIG) enchanting the audience with melodious renditions. The stage was also opened to the students, who excitedly performed melodious songs and mesmerizing dances.
A key highlight was a short film screening, which shed light on pressing environmental challenges and the importance of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene). To engage the younger attendees, a quiz competition was conducted to test their knowledge on various topics, sparking curiosity and awareness.
A book donation drive was also conducted by the event partner, Human Care. The i-Help Cultural Day aimed to blend entertainment with purpose, leaving our students inspired to integrate sustainability into their daily lives. The event proved to be a successful step toward creating a more responsible and conscious future, while also being an enjoyable experience for the children.
