IIM Indore Re-accredited by AACSB

Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) is proud to announce that it has been reaccredited by the prestigious AACSB International accreditation agency for a period of six years, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in business education. Spearheaded by IIM Indore’s Director, Prof. Himanshu Rai, the institute earned its first AACSB accreditation in 2019. With this reaccreditation, IIM Indore continues to uphold its reputation as a globally recognized institution dedicated to shaping the future of management education. IIM Indore remains among the select institutions worldwide that meet AACSB’s rigorous standards for teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning.
Reflecting on this achievement, Prof. Rai highlighted the institute’s commitment to continuous innovation, societal impact, and academic excellence. He said, “Earning AACSB accreditation in 2019 was a significant milestone. The reaccreditation in 2025 reaffirms our relentless pursuit of excellence. It reflects our ability to evolve, stay relevant, and push boundaries in management education. I extend my gratitude to the AACSB peer review team for their valuable insights, which have helped us refine our processes further”. IIM Indore’s standing in global and national rankings further highlights its excellence. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, IIM Indore secured the 8th position among management institutes in India, reaffirming its leadership in business education. On the global front, IIM Indore made a remarkable impact in the Eduniversal Rankings 2024, securing Rank #3 in Central Asia and achieving the top position in the 4 Palmes Category in India, a testament to its regional influence and academic quality.
In the domain of executive education, IIM Indore demonstrated significant progress. The institute made a stellar debut in the 2024 QS Executive MBA Rankings (EMBA), with its PGPMX programme securing the 25th rank in the Asia Pacific and 3rd among IIMs, underscoring its commitment to excellence in executive MBA education. Additionally, IIM Indore made a spectacular entry into the FT Executive Education Rankings 2024, securing the 3rd rank among IIMs and 61st globally in Open Executive Education Programmes, while also ranking 3rd among IIMs and 85th globally in Customized Executive Education Programmes.
Further strengthening its reputation as a socially responsible institution, IIM Indore earned recognition among the Level 5 Pioneering Schools by the UN PRME Ratings, an acknowledgment of its dedication to responsible management education and sustainability.
Prof. Rai mentioned that looking ahead, IIM Indore is making substantial investments in its infrastructure, ensuring that the campus continues to provide a world-class learning environment. “With a ?509.76 crore budget, the institute is expanding its facilities to include a new academic block, state-of-the-art classrooms, faculty offices, residential spaces, and a dedicated executive education facility. True to its commitment to sustainability, this ambitious development is a net-zero project, aligning with the institute’s vision of fostering responsible and environmentally conscious leadership,” he said.
Beyond infrastructure, IIM Indore continues to innovate in academic and experiential learning. The institute is enhancing its flagship Himalayan Outbound Programme (HOP) and Rural Engagement Programme (REP), expanding them to accommodate international participants. Additionally, the Executive Education Office will conduct a customized Management Development Programme for participants from the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, offering them insights into district-level administration in India. “The programme will focus on policy implementation challenges and rural governance, providing a deeper understanding of developmental issues at the grassroots level,” said Prof. Rai.
IIM Indore’s commitment to nation-building remains a cornerstone of its mission. The institute actively addresses India’s most pressing challenges—such as inequality, urbanization, and environmental sustainability—through a variety of impactful initiatives. Programmes aimed at empowering women micro-entrepreneurs, as well as contributions to the government’s One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, help foster economic resilience in rural areas. Furthermore, the Centre of Excellence, ANVESHAN, has partnered with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, to develop solutions for waste management and urban infrastructure challenges, reinforcing IIM Indore’s role as a thought leader in sustainable development.
