17th Batch of EPGP Begins at IIM Indore
– A total of 71 participants register for the one-year residential MBA programme
The 17th batch of the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at IIM Indore commenced on April 03, 2025, with 71 participants joining the prestigious one-year full-time residential MBA programme. The batch was inaugurated by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Rajnish Sharma, Senior Director, Coca-Cola India, along with Prof. Prabin Kumar Panigrahi, Dean – Programmes, and Prof. Jatin Pandey, Chair – EPGP.
Welcoming the new batch, Prof. Himanshu Rai shared profound insights on leadership, personal growth, and self-awareness. He urged the participants to develop Emotional Intelligence, Passion, Grit, and Purpose within themselves. He emphasized the need to be responsible in thoughts, speech, and actions, practicing reflective listening—not just hearing, but truly understanding, including silence in conversations. ‘Build integrity and capability from within, and ensure that you lead with both wisdom and authenticity’, he said. Speaking about passion, he explained that true passion emerges when capability is combined with motivation and self-willingness. He advised the participants to master their subjects and essential skills, as competence is the foundation of excellence. Moving on to grit, he highlighted that while hard work is necessary, it is not sufficient—what truly matters is resilience, the ability to rise after every failure, and to persist despite challenges. Finally, he spoke about purpose, urging the participants to contribute to the world they wish to live in and actively create that world for themselves. He reminded them that every batch is unique, facing different challenges and opportunities, and encouraged them to stay strong, experiment, and continuously push forward.
Mr. Rajnish Sharma congratulated the participants on taking this significant step in their careers by enrolling in the EPGP programme. Drawing from his own journey, he shared personal experiences, highlighting how a learning mindset is key to growth. ‘Embrace learning in its truest sense, not just from coursework but also from the diverse experiences of your peers. Discussions in the classroom would be deeply enriching, providing insights beyond what you had learned in your respective industries’, he said. Encouraging them to connect with great minds, he urged them to reflect on their aspirations, identify their true calling, and use their knowledge and skills to serve the community with a greater purpose.
Prof. Prabin Kumar Panigrahi delivered the vote of thanks. He also congratulated the participants on embarking on this transformational journey. He spoke about the rigorous and innovative curriculum that has been designed to equip them with future-ready skills, preparing them to become leaders who can navigate the complexities of the business world. Prof. Jatin Pandey, Chair – EPGP, welcomed the new batch into the IIM Indore community and reiterated the institute’s commitment to providing a learning environment that fosters intellectual growth and professional development. He encouraged the participants to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available at IIM Indore.
Notably, the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at IIM Indore has been ranked 69th globally in the Financial Times Global MBA (FT Global MBA) Rankings, reinforcing its position among the world’s premier management programmes. This recognition highlights the institute’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership development on a global scale.
This year’s batch, comprising 71 participants, represents a diverse mix of professionals from industries such as Automotive, BFSI, Consulting, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, Government, and more. With an average age of 32 years and an average work experience of 7.8 years, the batch brings together seasoned professionals who will contribute their expertise and perspectives to enrich classroom discussions.
The participants were also given an overview of IIM Indore’s facilities, academic resources, and library services, setting the stage for an intense and rewarding year of learning, collaboration, and personal growth. As they embark on this transformative journey, the institute remains committed to shaping them into visionary leaders equipped to thrive in an evolving global landscape.
