The IIM Indore Alumni Association (IIMIAA) was formally established as a Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, company in India with a registered address at the IIMI campus in Indore. This is a not-for-profit company, and any surplus will be used solely to promote the activities of the Alumni Association and to accomplish the objectives of the Alumni Association as stated in the Memorandum of Association. The company was registered in August 2020. It has its Certificate of Incorporation, PAN registration, GST registration, and bank account and follows all compliances required for a company of this nature.
The Association is foremost managed by the Alumni Chair of the Institute, the Alumni office and governed by its own Board of Directors. These office bearers are assisted by a group of volunteer alumni and the student Alumni committee. Each of the city and international/regional chapters is represented by volunteer alumni at the central coordination level for the IIMIAA.

Note: For participants graduating in Academic year 2021-22 (i.e., in convocation held in 2022) and subsequent years, the institute shall share 25% of the alumni fees collected by the institute. Thus, all students who successfully graduate after that will be auto-enrolled into the IIMIAA and won’t need to separately apply or pay membership fees. They are, however, welcome to donate/contribute any amounts they would like or join as silver/gold/platinum patrons.
Membership Committee has identified the following list of benefits to be offered to the alumni as of now. The categories of benefits are:
The membership fee of the Association shall be Rs.3,500.00 (inclusive of GST, transaction fees for payment gateway, etc.). If you are graduated before 2022, you need to pay membership fee of Rs. 3,500/-.
Alumni are welcome to make contributions over and above the membership fee. These donations/voluntary contributions (inclusive of GST, transaction fees for payment gateway, etc.) will be used for the objectives mentioned in the Memorandum of Association of the IIM Indore Alumni Association. It is compulsory to pay the membership fees/become a member of the Alumni Association to be eligible to contribute. Based on the donations, members would be designated as Patrons of IIMI AA as follows:

Note: All above amounts include GST, transaction fees for payment gateway, etc. The GST and payment gateway charges are borne by IIM Indore Alumni Association.
If any alumnus wants to contribute a larger amount, they may do so, and GEC will decide on an appropriate title for such a patron.
For Foreign citizens, the institute will only be taking the application at this point of time, these will need special regulatory approvals, and hence collection(s) will be done after the approval is received. Thus, there be will batch-wise processing for the foreign citizen alumni who wish to become members or patrons.
Refunds will be returned using the original method of payment – for example, if a membership fee has been paid by credit card, the refund will be credited by the same mode of Channel to a same credit card by the Merchant, and this goes for all Pay Modes from which the customer will make the Payment.
Also, suppose the membership/contribution is wrongly paid, or membership/contribution is declined by the Association due to any reasons; in that case, alumni can revert to the alumnioffice@iimidr.ac.in with transaction details within ten working days, and the refund will be processed as per IIMIAA/Banks TAT/norms.
Once the membership fee/contribution is paid by the alumni and acknowledged by the IIMIAA and receipt is generated successfully, then no request/demand to cancel the membership fee/contribution will be entertained.
Several situations qualify for requesting a chargeback, such as fraud or unauthorized payment.
In case of any chargeback request raised by the alumni/user, he/she will need to submit a copy of the successful transaction receipt to defend the chargeback within three working days. He/she will require to provide the following information:

In case of fraudulent transactions, providing a copy of FIR or details of the de-activation of the card used for payment would be mandatory to support the chargeback claim.
The courts of Indore alone will have the jurisdiction to try any matter, dispute or reference between the parties arising out of the above-referred transactions.
