Ankit Surana hails from the city of lakes, Udaipur, India and completed his PhD from Macquarie University, Australia. He is an engineer from IIT Delhi, PGP (MBA) from IIM Calcutta, and Master of Research from Macquarie University. He has received Dean’s commendation for his master’s thesis and awarded International Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship. His research interests include internationalization of digital platform firms, mainly in the Indian context. He has published papers in the top International Business journals such as Journal of World Business (A*), International Business Review (A) and International Marketing Review (A). Further, his next set of works include multiple papers in the qualitative and literature review domain. He also received the best paper award at AIRC, 2025 conference, INDAM, 2024 conference and spotlight paper recognition at Indian Strategy Conference, 2023. He is focusing on the impact of networks on the digital platform firm’s internationalization. Further, his future interest lies in the study of the influence of various international business dimensions such as entry mode and location choice on the internationalization of digital platform firms.
