Mr. Indrajit Thakurata is currently a faculty member in the Economics area at Indian Institute of Management, Indore. He has done his FPM from IIM Ahmedabad. His doctoral thesis dealt with the topic ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad: Lifecycle Portfolio Savings and Human Capital Accumulation’. He holds a dual degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Delhi. He was a visiting doctoral student to University of Cologne, Germany.
Before joining the doctoral programme at IIM Ahmedabad, he has worked as a software programmer. His current research interests include life-cycle optimization models, human capital acquisition, portfolio choice and developing economy DSGE models. His teaching interests include Macroeconomics and Financial Markets & Central Bank.
