Prof. Shekhar Shukla is a Faculty in the Information Systems area at IIM Indore. He has completed his FPM/Doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. Prior to joining IIM Indore, he was working as a faculty at S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai, India for almost a span of 4 years. He holds a B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering from VTU, Belgaum.

Prior to the doctorate degree, he has also worked at Mu-Sigma Business Solutions, Bangalore. He has publications in journals of international repute and has also presented his research work in many internationally reputed conferences.

Prof. Shekhar has conducted executive training programs for reputed government and non-government organizations like Indian Postal Department, SBI, Voltas, Green Energy Institute, TATA AIA, Physicians and Healthcare Management Executives from locations across India among others.

Prof. Shekhar has been an invited speaker at various academic, government and corporate venues like Troops Comfort Limited, EPFO, CUGL, Regency Hospitals and several reputed Government and Private Academic Institutes among others. Prof. Shekhar has also contributed articles on popular media podiums like the Daily Guardian.

Prof. Shekhar has the following academic and non-academic accolades to his credit:

  • A recipient of Bhakti Shastri certification from Bhaktivedanta Vidyapeeth that involves in-depth study of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Isopanishad, Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu and Updeshamrtsindhu
  • A member to UGC Committee for the initiative on integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into the Information Systems courses
  • Best research paper award from joint conference by Deakin University, Australia and IIM Jammu
  • Received the best paper award for doctoral work at the Doctoral Consortium of SJMSOM, IIT Bombay
  • a recipient of reputed TATA Scholarship
  • A recipient of International MCDM society scholarship

His research interest lies in the field of emerging technologies like Blockchain, AI, Metaverse, Gen AI, XAI and Quantum Computing etc. and their applications to varied domains of business, governance and society. He also hosts a keen interest in amalgamation of Indian Knowledge System to the dimension of Information Systems.
