Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and AI driven applications have started pervading personal, social, and organizational spaces. Personal assistants (e.g. Cortana), home assistants (e.g. Alexa), and
organizational interfacing assistants such as chatbots are promising and delivering enhanced efficiency and user convenience. Organizations too have started realizing the advantages and efficiency benefits attained by leveraging AI systems in a variety of applications as well as higher-order decision making functions. However, the expected surge in AI adoption by organizations has been anything but smooth. For one, given the organizational legacy, finding the optimal system has been a persistent problem. Secondly, employees who perceive AI systems as competitors for corporate resources have been known to oppose its adoption. More crucially, the exponential expansion of AI skills into analytical and thinking tasks has been speculated to limit human workers into the ever-narrowing niche of interpersonal and empathetic duties. In this context, this programme offers the much needed bridge between AI and the most significant pillar of organizations, namely, Human Resource Management (HRM).
