IIM Indore, recognized for its global collaborations and commitment to strengthening cross-border academic synergies, hosted its inaugural International Partners’ Day—SETU: Bridging Academic Excellence—on October 09, 2024. The event was attended by an illustrious group of international academicians and thought leaders from seven countries, namely, USA, UK, Russia, France, Italy , Belgium, and Germany. The event served as a vibrant platform for enhancing institutional alliances, discussing the future of global education, and co-creating frameworks to nurture innovation and thought leadership.

In his welcome address, Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, emphasized the transformative power of international collaborations in advancing academic excellence. He highlighted the essence of SETU, a Sanskrit term meaning ‘bridge’, representing IIM Indore’s efforts to build robust connections with 58 premier institutions across 23 countries. These partnerships, he noted, aim to create bridges of knowledge and shared growth while addressing global challenges through joint research, faculty exchange, and collaborative academic initiatives. Prof. Rai also shared IIM Indore’s key initiatives focused on solving pressing urban and rural challenges, tackling inequality, mitigating environmental issues, and encouraging entrepreneurship. He stressed that the Institute’s programmes are designed to create leaders who not only excel in their respective fields but are also equipped to tackle these critical issues.
