IIM Indore Conducts Graduation Ceremony for MMS and BA (Foundations of Management) Programmes

The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) hosted a graduation ceremony for participants of the Executive Management Programme – Master of Management Studies (MMS) and the Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) programme.

The ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, along with distinguished faculty members, staff, and graduating participants.

This occasion also celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the MMS programme, making it a landmark event in the institute’s academic journey. A total of 73 participants from the MMS programme (52 male and 21 female participants), and 62 students from the BA (Foundations of Management) programme were conferred their degrees during the ceremony.

Addressing the graduating cohort, Prof. Himanshu Rai congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to carry forward the values of integrity, leadership, and lifelong learning. He reflected on the evolving nature of the global environment, noting that the world today is increasingly characterized as BANI: Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, and Incomprehensible. He emphasized that while such a reality may seem daunting, it also presents an opportunity for leaders to redefine their approach. He urged the graduates to respond with Bravery in the face of fragility, Adaptability to manage uncertainty, Networking to navigate complex and nonlinear systems, and Introspection to bring clarity amid ambiguity. “These qualities would not only help you endure the challenges of the modern world but also empower to lead with purpose and resilience in times of continuous change”, he said.

The ceremony was also graced by Prof. Nishit Sinha, Chair –  EMP – MMS, and Prof. Aditya Maheshwari, Chair – IPM, who joined other faculty members and staff in celebrating this proud moment for the institute and its graduates.

The event not only recognized the academic accomplishments of the students but also symbolized the institute’s continued commitment to expanding its academic offerings and nurturing future leaders.

The graduation ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, marking a historic beginning for these programmes and setting the stage for many more such milestones in the years to come.
