Message from the Chair, IPM
In 2011, IIM Indore launched the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) wherein the participants are awarded Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and Master of Business Administration (under the Dual Degree Programme).
In sync with the institute’s mission statement, IPM aims to create contextually relevant, socially conscious managers and leaders with a foundation of world-class education in mathematics, statistics, economics and social sciences followed by core management disciplines. The major academic motive of IPM is to nurture transformative leaders with a deeper understanding of the foundations of management. IPM provides experiential learning that inculcates leadership qualities and hones the managerial skills of future leaders. These learnings develop desired intent to create more sustainable businesses and socially responsible organizations. IPM is an innovative and holistic programme for young undergraduate aspirants who are focused and determined to excel in life as management professionals, transformational leaders and change agents.
A combination of analytical rigour and wide exposure equips IPM participants for leadership roles and positions of responsibility in all possible sectors. The first three years provide a rigorous foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics along with various Social Science disciplines such as Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Political Science, Law and Public Policy. Courses in Communication and Information Technology enable the adequate skills required for understanding and exploring the business realities. In the last two years, participants undergo through the IIM Indore’s flagship MBA programme and learn the core management disciplines such as IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR & Strategy.
International Exchange Programme, Social Internship, Summer Internship and live projects are some of the few unique features of IPM programme which provide adequate exposure to observe, introspect and craft one’s own journey of excellence. Apart from this, the exceptionally vibrant and talented student body organizes various activities to display, nurture and develop talents and personalities. Institute has state of the art educational facilities, IT infrastructure and a sports complex all housed in a serene atmosphere far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
