Message from the Chairperson PGP
Indian economy is poised for exciting future as we embark on a rapid economic growth over the next 20-25 years. In this period, India will see rapid rise in per capita incomes, which no other Indian generation has seen in the past. India will transform itself into a semi-industrialized economy if not an industrialized economy over this period. India will need managers who can power the engine of growth which will be primarily lead by the industry and services sector. And you, young Indians are the fortunate ones to be in the right place at the right time. We at IIM Indore are committed to transform, through our flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), young men and women into budding managers who will become change agents to drive this economy into a developed nation.
PGP is a rigourous two-year programme. In the first year you will be exposed to all the core courses of management. In the second year you have wide range of electives to choose from different areas of specialization. Depending on your career interests you can select your courses to concentrate on functional areas such as IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, or chose to be a generalist by balancing courses across different areas.
Our student exchange programme gives much needed international exposure in an increasingly borderless and globalized world. We have tied up with fourteen universities across the globe from USA, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Australia to China for student exchanges. Under this programme you get to study for one term in our partner universities. The exchange programme is gaining popularity among PGP participants with over 15% of the students opting for these exchange programmes now. We are committed to increase such opportunities further in future. We also have foreign students visiting our campus through the student exchange programmes.
It is not all work and no play at IIM Indore. We believe in overall personality development. The student body organizes various activities, which allows you to display, nurture and develop your talents during the two years of stay at IIM Indore. Institute has state of the art educational facilities, IT infrastructure and sports complex all housed in serene atmosphere far away from the hustle and bustle of city.
