Consulting Club
The Consulting Club of IIM Indore was established in January 2004 to explore and enhance the student community’s interests in consulting and strategy, while helping clients solve their business problems or identify opportunities for improvement and growth at the same time. The club has the following cornerstone activities:
Activities / Initiatives
NATIONAL CONSULTING EVENT
Neetishastra, the first of its kind event in India was introduced in IRIS’12, where participants executed real time strategy consulting projects for SME’s. Some of the best consulting minds in the country across B schools showcased their skills. Neetishastra, was concluded with resounding success in November and was organized in association with the partners of Consult Clinic, the SME Consulting division of the club.
LIVE PROJECTS
The club has been actively in touch with industries and firms across the country in order to scout for projects. The firms are offered high quality work through some of the best minds of the country with varied industry experience and expertise.
CONSULT CLINIC
It is a club initiative in association with Indore Management Association to provide consultancy services to small and medium enterprises. The initiative has already witnessed participation from more than 25 SME’s.
GUEST LECTURES / WORKSHOPS
The club works towards conducting orientation sessions that sensitize and educate the participants about careers in consulting.
INTRA-COLLEGE EVENTS
Various competitions are organized throughout the year to enhance and sharpen students’ acumen in consulting and strategy.
PERSPECTIVE
A periodic newsletter put together by the members of the club. Every issue of PERSPECTIVE analyses a particular industry and discusses the latest trends in that industry.
In 2013-14, the Club continued to add depth to its core activities and innovated further by launching a new division. The inception of the Analytics division represents the foray of the Consulting Club into the fast growing Analytics industry. The year also marked the launch of Analitique – a sponsored National Level Analytics Event, which is organized on an annual basis.
With a keen focus on professional standard live projects, the club also organized several consulting events and released white papers.
With a lot of new initiatives, the Consulting Club is hopeful for yet another exciting year ahead.
