Equit-i - Finance and Investment Club
Equit-I, the Finance and Investment Club formed by the PGP participants of IIM Indore focuses on creating an enthusiasm about finance in the campus and bracing up the student community for the industry rigor. The club strives to be an important partner in a participant’s career development by creating learning opportunities and providing industry interface.
The club actively follows the industry and tries to pitch for live projects related to finance. In the past, Equit-I has facilitated projects in the field of Equity Research and Corporate Finance.
Equit-I assists participants in exploring financial career opportunities, by organizing workshops and interactive sessions on various financial topics and career panels specifically for finance roles. The club also assists participants in preparing for their summer and final placements by publishing special articles and newsletters.
Moreover, it also helps companies in increasing their brand equity and visibility on campus through various initiatives like talks, newsletters and different on-campus competitions.
Equit-I members also take lectures on fundamentals of finance for the PGP1 participants.
Events
Clued: Fun event influenced from the Amazing Race in which the teams are given clues on various financial topics which are spread across a number of areas across the campus.
Mantrana: The club presents one of the most challenging events for PGP-2’s. It is an IPO valuation round testing the in depth knowledge of the teams.
Fin-Gurus ki Khoj: An online quiz followed by a case study round, this event is designed to test the finance acumen of the first year participants to find the ultimate Finance Guru
Finquizzitive : A fun event for PGP-1’s consisting of an on the spot quiz and caselet analysis filled with trivia, gyan and learning.
Budget Eye: The forum for union budget analysis and discussion between professors and participants.
Finance League: A flagship event conducted, during Ahvan, IIM Indore’s Management Festival. It brings together the various domains of Finance under one umbrella to test the sharpest and the brightest financial brains of India’s top B-schools in areas like Banking, Insurance, Equities and Derivatives. It includes online quiz, case study, Invested Interest – the stock market simulation game and Finopoly – a variation of the Board game Monopoly, the teams negotiate the twists and turns introduced at various points using calls, puts and finance trivia to capture monopoly in various industries.

Week That Was: Equit-I publishes the weekly newsletter Week That Was, which includes not just business news but also views and critiques of participants on the recent issues in the field of finance.
Industry reports: The club intends to start the publication of industry reports with in-depth analysis for various sectors over time.
