IIM Indore Signs MoU with Abu Dhabi School of Management, UAE
- The collaboration aims to offer joint degrees subject to the UAE Ministry of Education
- Student and faculty exchange and joint research included in the MoU
Indian Institute of Management Indore aims to offer contextually relevant courses with world-class academics. The United Arab Emirates is known for its top-ranked universities and institutions that provide robustly designed courses and focus on student-oriented learning. To strengthen the academic relationship between India and UAE, IIM Indore has joined forces with one of the leading educational institutes, the Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), Abu Dhabi, UAE. The MoU was signed by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, and Prof. Abdullah El-Kwafi Abonamah, President, ADSM.
Prof. Himanshu Rai noted that ADSM aims to develop entrepreneurial managers and leaders with the knowledge and skills at international standards to contribute to sustainable socio-economic development in the knowledge economy. ‘This aligns with IIM Indore’s mission to develop socially conscious leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs who contribute to nation building’, he said. IIM Indore focuses on offering courses that enable the participants to grow at personal and professional levels by providing them opportunities to learn from real-life experiences. This association with ADSM will provide a platform for students from both nations to come together, learn, and share experiences, cultures, and values. ‘We plan to offer joint programmes and dual degree courses that will be subject to the UAE Ministry of Education – Commission for Academic Accreditation,’ he said. The association also includes student and faculty exchange, promoting activities that encourage joint research, exchanging educational data for training purposes, and conducting lectures, conferences, and workshops.
Professor Abdullah El-Kwafi Abonamah expressed his delight over collaborating with IIM Indore. He said that this partnership would help the two institutions to mutually benefit from the substantial accomplishments in research, education, and international collaboration. ‘We strongly believe that our involvement with IIM Indore will further enhance the opportunity of collaborative research, promoting and encouraging the exchange of academic staff and students’, he said.
Valid for five years, the MoU will strengthen the academic relations between IIM Indore and ADSM and facilitate a path for academicians from both nations to come together and contribute to research in mutual interest.
