Message from the Chair, IPM
Welcome to the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore. Launched in 2011, IPM was the first program in India to offer a five-year integrated management degree right after school, and the participants are awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and a Master of Business Administration (under the Dual Degree Programme). Today, it stands one of the most preferred undergraduate management programs in the country, attracting talented students from across Bharat.
Our world-class full-time faculty bring strong academic and industry experience to the classroom, where students learn through direct interaction and real-time discussions. This enables our students to learn how to think analytically and clearly, solve problems, and understand society. A combination of analytical rigour and wide exposure equips IPM participants for leadership roles and positions of responsibility in all possible sectors. The first three years provide a rigorous foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Humanities. Courses in Communication and Information Technology enable the adequate skills required for understanding and exploring the business realities. In the last two years of IPM, participants undergo the IIM Indore’s flagship MBA programme and learn the core management disciplines such as IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR & Strategy. These subjects give students both the depth and the variety they need to grow into socially-conscious leaders.
The IPM program also offers several valuable features: students can take a sabbatical (break from studies) if needed, exit after three years with a Bachelor’s degree, or complete the full five years to earn a Master’s. There are international student exchange opportunities with several partner universities, as well as a compulsory social internship that helps students connect with real-world issues and contribute to society.
