Prescribed Application Form

Applications are invited for the position of Executive Engineer (Civil). The minimum qualification, experience and other general terms and conditions are given hereunder:

Job Profile for Executive Engineer (Civil) – On contract:

  • Deployed either in the Project Department or in the Estate Department
  • In the Project Department the requirement is to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control & close to various infrastructure projects undertaken in the Institute.
  • In the Estate Department the Executive Engineer will be required to carry out all the maintenance related activities.

Salary & Allowances

Salary will not be a constraint for the deserving candidate.

Nature of Appointment

The selected candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for a period of one year and extendable one year at a time for a maximum period of three years on a consolidated monthly pay package subject to satisfactory performance which will be reviewed on an annual basis.

Qualification:

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with excellent academic record from a recognized University/Institute.

Work Experience:

  • At least 20 years’ POST QUALIFICATION experience in civil infrastructure and other Institutional projects.
  • Candidates having experience in handling Institutional projects viz IIM /IIT/AIIMS/Government Universities etc. as per the CPWD norms of functioning and having knowledge of CVC guidelines will be preferred.
  • Preference will also be given to candidates having experience as a project manager in  a  consultancy  firm  having  executed  at least  one  civil  infrastructure  project  of  value  more  than Rs.100
  • Candidates should  be  conversant  in  interpreting  architectural  & other drawings  of  EPC  contractors in draft stage, giving comments, survey, soil investigation, design  of  foundation & superstructure of  multi-storeyed  building  complex, details  of  finishing  items  of  an  Institute  campus, STP/WTP/Storm water lines, IT /Automation needs of  campus ,details  of  technical  specifications  for  all  above  activities  pertaining  to  Institutional  projects, details  of  firefighting  and  other  norms, site  supervision  of  works, quality  assurance  of  works, safety at site  of  works, taking  measurement  of  jobs, preparation/checking  billing, recommendation  for  release  of  payment, capitalizing  assets  created etc.

  1.   2. Applications received after January 09, 2023, will not be entertained.
  3. Application without Prescribed Format and Annexures as mentioned in point no.1 will not be considered. The application is only to be sent through email on career@iimidr.ac.in. No other mode of application will be accepted.
  4. Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualification and experience requirements will not confer any right on the candidates for being called for Interview or/and their selection.
  5. Candidates not found suitable for the position may be considered for a lower position or on a lower pay scale or on an appropriate consolidated salary.
  6. The Institute reserves the right not to select anyone without assigning any reason.
  7. The Institute reserves the right to change/apply appropriate shortlisting criteria in case of a large number of applications.
  8. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  9. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  10. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  11. Incomplete application without proper supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
  12. The Institute requires the selected candidates to join immediately.
  13. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test or/and Interview or/and selection process.
  14. The position will remain open until filled.
  15. The decision of IIM Indore would be final and binding to the candidates.
  16. In case of any dispute concerning this recruitment the jurisdiction of the competent courts will be within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Indore only.
