Dr. Akhaya Kumar Nayak is a faculty member in the area of Humanities and Social Sciences (Sociology). He has earned his doctorate degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2013.
His teaching interests include Sociological Perspectives, Indian Society and Culture, Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, Leadership Insights from Vedic Scriptures (especially Bhagavad Gita), Contemporary Social Issues, Population and Society, Industrial Sociology, Essentials of Human Values and Sociological Theories. His research interest lies in Sociology of Social Movement and Sociology of Development. His research papers are published in several International and national journals. He has presented research papers in various conferences in India and abroad (UK, USA, Austria, Portugal, Greece, France, etc.). He has been awarded National Scholarship for undergraduate studies, Literary Champion during B.Ed., and Institute Assistantship for pursuing Ph.D.
