Pragat-i - Social Sensitivity Club
Pragat-I is the social sensitivity cell of IIM Indore, committed to fostering empathy, inclusion, and awareness both on campus and beyond. We design and lead initiatives that bridge the gap between the privileged and the underprivileged, empowering students to give back to society with purpose, passion, and impact.
Pragat-I has evolved into a dynamic and impactful force on campus, driving a diverse range of meaningful and strategically aligned initiatives. Each effort embodies our core mission of nurturing social consciousness and creating positive change, collectively impacting the lives of over 1,000 individuals in a single academic year, while advancing IIM Indore’s mission to develop contextually relevant and socially conscious leaders.
Activities / Initiatives
Blood Donation Drives
Biannual blood donation drives organised in collaboration with registered blood banks and hospitals to promote the spirit of giving and health awareness.
WeCare Initiative
An annual gratitude drive distributing essential items such as blankets, umbrellas & tiffin boxes to campus housekeeping, security, and gardening staff.
Mini Marathon – Run for a Cause
A 5-kilometre run inside campus premises, promoting awareness on relevant social issues, combining fitness with social consciousness
Financial Literacy Program
A workshop for housekeeping and support staff aimed at improving awareness about personal finance, savings, and government welfare schemes.
Children’s Day Celebration
Visits to schools and special institutions where IIM Indore students engage with children through interactive activities and gift distribution.
Tree Plantation Drive
A joint initiative with NGOs for planting saplings beyond campus to promote environmental responsibility.
Educational Workshop for Staff Children
Interactive sessions guiding campus staff children on education, skill development, and career opportunities.
Live Project
Social impact-driven live projects offered in collaboration with NGOs, CSR wings, and social enterprises, enabling students to contribute to real-world causes.
Case Competition
A theme-based competition focused on solving sustainability and social-impact challenges through innovative, actionable solutions.
Adult Literacy Program
An ongoing initiative promoting basic literacy and education for adults associated with the IIM Indore ecosystem.
First Responder Training Workshop
Training sessions covering basic first aid, CPR, and emergency response techniques for students and staff.
Social Leadership Challenge
A volunteering-based challenge encouraging students to participate in NGO initiatives, with live progress tracking and recognition for top performers.
Christmas Event – Gift of Joy
A “wish-tree” event where students donate gifts to fulfil the wishes of underprivileged children from nearby schools.
Accessory Donation Drive
Collection boxes across the campus to donate clothes, shoes, and accessories to partner organisations.
Social Hackathon
A field-based problem-solving event where students identify and address challenges faced by marginalised communities.
NGO Collaborations
Partnerships with NGOs offering students long-term volunteering and project engagement opportunities throughout the academic year.
