The Post-Doctoral Fellowship is designed to keep in view Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM Indore) goal to create a high-quality research environment. IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) is a research opportunity offered by IIM Indore to Ph.D. degree holders. Its objective is to support high-quality research by scholars holding a doctoral degree and an outstanding academic record. IIM Indore PDF in management aims to identify young, motivated individuals for doing research in different specializations of management. Fellows selected for the Post Doctoral position will conduct academic research jointly with a resident faculty member in their mutual area of interest. A PDF will work with a faculty mentor who is expected to provide ample opportunities to develop the fellow as an independent researcher.

Applications are invited for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) in the following area:

• Marketing Area

Proposed Area of Research:

• Product and Brand Management

Duration: 1 year [can be renewed for the second term, i.e., max 2-years]

Eligibility: Successfully defended Ph.D. (within 5 years of the application) from a premier institute/university (excluding IIM Indore) with a minimum of 60% marks / 1st division in the master’s degree or degree immediately preceding Ph.D.

Desirable: Should have a minimum of “B” category (or above) publication in the journal list (ABDC or equivalent).

Stipend:

(a) Stipend: ₹ 60,000/- per month (consolidated)

(b) Start-up fund: ₹ 40,000/- one-time [for attending conferences, buying computing devices]

(c) Publication incentive for publishing in high-quality journals

Other facilities provided to post-doctoral fellows:

1. Accommodation on campus (if available) at the discounted rate of ₹ 3000/- per month.
2. Office-space (place to sit and work) if available.
3. Services available to other students (e.g., bus (on chargeable basis), internet, library, etc.)

Responsibilities:

(a) Must teach at least a 4-credit course / per year of tenure (1 credit= 6.25 hours of teaching) [e.g., an undergrad course, post graduate elective or doctoral level course].

(b) Expect at least one research article in an A (or above) category journal (ABDC or equivalent) per year from the PDF collaboration.

10. IIM Indore reserves the right to terminate the Fellowship at any stage if it is found that appropriate progress is not being made or the grant has not been utilized properly.

12. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test or/and Interview or/and selection process.
13. The decision of IIM Indore would be final and binding to the candidates.
