1. Emergency Medical Officer

Number of Positions: 01

Key Responsibility Areas

The Emergency Medical Officer will ensure the highest standards of patient care at the Institute’s Medical Centre. Key duties include:

Clinical Care

  • Assess patients’ condition, maintain proper clinical records, prescribe medicines, and initiate appropriate treatment.
  • Provide urgent medical services including stabilisation, diagnosis, resuscitation, and referral to specialists as needed.

Emergency Services

  • Be available on on-call night duty (06 days a week).
  • Respond to calls within the campus and reach the Medical Centre/designated location within 10 minutes of intimation.
  • Provide timely emergency medical assistance to all members of the IIMI community.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Keep the Hostel Office and COA informed of students’ health concerns and notify them in case a community member is referred to a hospital.
  • Maintain medical records, health statistics, and reports as required.

Qualification and Experience

  • MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (erstwhile MCI).
  • Valid registration with the State Medical Council/NMC.
  • Minimum 05 years of post-internship clinical experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in emergency/trauma care or institutional healthcare.

Age & Criteria

  • Applicants should not be above 65 years of age as on the last date of application.
  • The selected candidate will be required to stay in the Institute-provided on-campus accommodation.

Salary & Tenure

  • Salary will not be a constraint for deserving candidates and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • The selected candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for one year and extendable one year at a time for a maximum period of three years on a consolidated monthly pay package subject to satisfactory performance, which will be reviewed annually.

2.  Part-time Medical Officer

Number of Positions: 01

Key Responsibility Areas

The selected Medical Officer will be responsible for providing outpatient consultation services at the Institute’s Medical Centre. Key duties include:

  • Conducting daily OPD consultations at the Medical Centre from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • Assessing patients, prescribing medicines, and recommending further diagnostic tests or referrals as required.
  • Maintaining medical records and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Providing basic preventive and promotive health advice to the IIMI community.
  • Coordinating with the Institute’s healthcare team for referral management and follow-up cases.

Qualification and Experience

  • MBBS degree recognised by the National Medical Commission (erstwhile MCI).
  • Valid registration with the State Medical Council/NMC.
  • Minimum 02 years of post-internship clinical experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in institutional healthcare or family medicine practice.

Age & Criteria

  • Applicants should not be above 65 years of age as on the last date of application.
  • No accommodation will be provided by the Institute.
