Programme Overview
The EMP (G&D) is a 2-year blended mode executive education programme leading to a Master of Management Studies (MMS) degree. The programme is designed uniquely to provide a comprehensive understanding of management, public policy, governance, and national security related aspects to serving officers in the defence forces and civil servants. The EPM (G&D) programme as a rigorous programme with focus on core domains in management alongside relevant subjects in public policy, governance, sustainability, and national security.

Admission Criteria
The selection will be based on candidate’s profile evaluation, subject to meeting eligibility criteria, aptitude test and a personal interview with the faculty from IIM Indore. Final decision on candidate admission will be made by IIM Indore.
Eligibility Criteria
- Serving ‘Group A’ officer with a minimum 10 Years of full time service OR
- Serving Commissioned Officer (Group A) in Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Airforce with minimum 10 Years of full time service .
AND
- 50% marks (equivalent GPA) in Batchelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
- 5% Relaxation in Minimum marks for participants from SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories
*Internships and Trainee Experiences will not be considered as full-time work experience.
Admission Criteria & Selection Process
- Candidates may nominate themselves or be sponsored by their parent departments.
- Admission to be done based on composite scores developed based on the following test scores, profile of candidates and interview.
- IIM Indore (EAT): Test based on 40 questions and 1 hour duration
OR- CAT scores: Minimum 75 percentile overall (70 percentile in each component) [last 5 years] OR
- GMAT: Minimum cut off at 600 [last 5 years] OR
- GRE: Minimum cut off at 290 [last 5 years]
- Only Shortlisted Candidates will appear for the interview process.
Duration & Number of Session Hours
Duration: Two Years
- Number of hours: 650 hours
- Combinations of online and offline sessions
*The programme duration may be slightly extended due to issues like faculty unavailability, gazetted holidays on session days or any unforeseen emergencies.
How the Courses will be delivered:
Courses will be delivered through online mode using an appropriate technology Synchronized platform. Lectures will be delivered through broadband-based technology involving two-way audio and video communication. Sessions will be held from 0900 to 1315 hours on Saturdays and Sundays, with a buffer provision of One Session (2000 to 2115 hours on Wednesdays). Participants can attend sessions directly from their desktop/laptop (Direct-2-Device). Participants will be provided digital reading materials, etc., for each course. They may also interact with the concerned faculty through e-mails/ chat mode.
The standard timing of the sessions (IST) will be as follows:
- 8-9 hours of live lectures per week
- Online lecture timing 0900 hours to 1315 hours on Saturdays and Sundays, with buffer provision of One Session (2000 to 2115 hours on Wednesdays)
- The On-campus modules are planned during Term I (Six days) and Term VI (Six days).
- The time gap between two consecutive sessions is to give the participants a break. On some days, the classes may extend beyond the mentioned time. In addition to attending interactive sessions, participants must undertake online quizzes, assignments, and examinations.
Pedagogy
The pedagogy will be a judicious mix of lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, assignments, etc.
Certification
Successful Completion Certificate by IIM Indore

***The Completion certificate will only be awarded to participants who complete the programme evaluation and attendance criteria.

- The final admission decision will be taken by IIM Indore.
- In case of cancellation of the Batch, the Application fee will be non-refundable.

*Executive Education Alumni Status and Benefits (Optional)
- The participants who complete the programme successfully will be eligible for the Executive Education Alumni Status of IIM Indore. They will be required to apply separately along with the necessary fee (Optional) to register their name. Current Executive Education alumni membership plans are as follows:
– 2-year membership – 1000 + applicable taxes
– Lifetime membership – 10,000 + applicable taxes
- Benefits available to Executive Education Alumni:

? Access to the IIM Indore Campus Library (onsite access only),
